When we say it will be done — it will be done! You can count on the move-in date we give you. After building over a 1,000 homes in the Dane County area, we have a 100% success rate of finishing on time.
Bill Weber, Jr. Custom Homes have been in business for more than 25 years. We’re a family business who is invested in growing healthy communities, in building sustainably, and in making your home exactly what you need and deserve. When we say we’ll treat your home build like our own home, it means we won’t settle for anything less than the best. We’re committed to building you a beautiful home that lasts, so you can build beautiful memories for many years to come.
Your home should be worthy of your investment. Yes, it should look luxurious and feel inviting, with a design and layout that suits your lifestyle. But most importantly, it should last. You shouldn’t have to worry about your brand new home needing repairs.
When you build your custom home with us, we only use the best quality materials whether you can see them or not. We install top national brands that come with long warranties, like Pella Windows and Carrier Furnaces. And we only work with the most reputable contractors. Additionally, every new home we build comes with a one (1) year limited warranty. Individual components typically have longer manufacturers’ warranties.
The subcontractors we work with are local and of the highest reputation. We choose subcontractors whose owner is on the job site daily. This ensures high quality craftsmanship. Additionally, Bill Weber, Jr inspects the job sites every day. We truly build every house as if it’s our own.
When you have so many decisions to make, you want to be confident you’re making the best choices. After all, this will be your home for many years to come. It’s an investment into your future. Your home should be a reflection of you and a place you enjoy, well, coming home to. We’re here to help!
Our 6-step process ensures high quality workmanship is done on schedule, so there are no unhappy surprises at the end. Plus, we love educating first-time home builders about the process. We believe in transparency — the more you know about what goes into building your home, the better.
With insider knowledge on the concrete, roofing, framers, siding, trim carpenters, insulation, plumbing, heating, flooring–basically everything that comprises your home–our drafter can draw plans for you or improve upon something you bring in. This is how we’re able to accommodate last minute changes and distribute them to our subcontractors so you can get the house you want.
Custom Homes
Reflect your personality in the finishing touches of your home without worrying about a surprise price tag at the end. We’re transparent with all our pricing. We’ll let you know if your design decisions will cost extra, so you know where to splurge or where to save. We’re happy to help you discern which looks and treatments are fads that will date your home in a few years, and which features are worthy of your investment.
We invite you to walk through any of our newly completed homes to get a feel for the quality of craftsmanship that comes standard with each home.
Our open floor plans give you plenty of room and space to do what you enjoy–from dinner parties to first birthday parties, game nights to girls’ nights. Your home is your space to do what you love! The 9′ ceilings lend an open, airy feel to the whole main floor. And your gas fireplace with custom surround will provide a warm place for you to relax after a busy day.
You know we would never neglect the garage! Our home plans include a 2 or 3 car garage, so you have plenty of space for your vehicles, tools, toys and hobbies. The metal garage doors are insulated, so you can spend time in your garage regardless of the weather. You’ll also enjoy a low-maintenance 30′ concrete driveway. (Sorry, we can’t help you shovel, but we’ll make sure the concrete was poured smoothly so clearing the snow is a breeze!)
In the kitchen, the standard options we provide will reflect your fine taste and need for attractive, efficient appliances. Our kitchen appliance package is stainless steel (of course) and includes a side-by-side fridge, smooth-top stove, dishwasher, and hood fan that is vented to the outside. Countertops are granite or quartz. We’ll help you choose coordinating tile, paint, fixtures, and all the other little details you probably haven’t thought of yet. When you have a cohesive look to your kitchen and dining room, the overall impression is warm and welcoming.
With standard 3 bedrooms and optional finished basement, you can also create a comfortable home office or home gym. The basement will feel just as open and inviting as the main level of the house, thanks to the generous 8’9″ basement ceiling height. Whether you choose to finish your basement at the start or want to finish it down the road, you’ll have full bathroom rough-ins all ready. Your basement will be dry, too. We use Watchdog Waterproofing, which comes with a 15-year leak warranty. (When we walk the lot with you, we’ll make you aware of any potential issues that could affect your basement exposures and whether you can have a walkout or ½ exposure basement.)
The first thing most people notice is the abundance of natural light. You’ll especially appreciate our generous window allowance during those long Wisconsin winters! We only install Pella Low-E windows and patio doors, which helps you efficiently cool and heat your house year round.
As you walk through the home, you’ll feel how sturdy the floors are beneath your feet. We use a silent floor system, which means squeaky floorboards won’t give you away when you walk to the kitchen for a midnight snack. The engineered, hand-scraped maple floors we painstakingly install are made to last and look beautiful for decades.
We take care to install products that help keep you safe in your home and minimize damage due to fire, weather, or break-ins.
Everything we use–from engineered studs and OSB, to extra insulation in your walls and attic–is designed to be better for the environment. Not only does this benefit the environment, but it also saves you money on your heating and electric bills.
We pay close attention to Energy Star ratings when selecting appliances and other amenities. Where available, we use natural gas furnaces and water heaters.
